Failed freethrows plague Stealth down the stretch; SWAT wins 3rd straight, 54-50 -- Masih Sadri would put his team up by a 4 point margin with a drive to the hole and a left handed lay-up at the 11:38 mark, 13-9. SWAT then went on a 9-2 run capped off with a turnaround jumper by early MVP candidate, Aaron Duncan, forcing Stealth to burn their first timeout of the game. Fast-forward to the 16 minute mark of the second half and Will Francis would help re-claim the lead on a reverse layup to give Stealth a 1 point edge. At the 4 minute mark, Devon McDonald of SWAT finished up a lay-up helping re-claim the lead, 47-46. Stealth would continuously go to the line down the stretch, but failed to convert on many free-throws as SWAT would make key buckets, pulling away for a narrow 54-50 win over Stealth.

Aaron Duncan had another solid scoring night, racking up 25 points. He was clutch from the charity, going 8-of-10 from that area and also connected on 3 threeballs on the night. Calmar Morgan and Devon McDonald recorded 7 points apiece, and Chris Brown pitched in with 6. For Stealth, key missed freethrows were a major issue down the stretch. They shot a disastrous 6/16 for the game . Anthony Guada put up solid stats once again with 15 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals and 3 assists. He continues to be among the better all-around players our league has to offer. Second-year teammate, Matt Terejko wrapped up his night with 8 points and 4 boards and Danyel Wright recorded 7 points. With the loss, Stealth falls to 1-2 and are scheduled to take on the (1-2) Blue Devils on July 8 @ 4PM. SWAT is now 3-0 on the season and next Sunday, and have a much anticipated meeting with the (2-1) Grim Reapers @6PM. The games will take place at St. Michael's College.
