Sadri and Stealth stuns Grim Reapers 58-55 -- The Grim Reapers jumped out to an early comfortable lead against the shorthanded Stealth squad and continued to build on their lead throughout the first half. In the 2nd half, Stealth charged back with Masih Sadri carrying Stealth back. Sadri would finish with a game high and personal best of 31 points on 11/22 shooting. Grim Reapers were unable to execute in the final minutes of the game, allowing Stealth to steal a game from them. With the victory Stealth snaps their 4 game losing skid and climbs back into the playoff hunt. With the loss, the Grim Reapers winning streak of 4 games has ended and they now sit 1 game back of S.W.A.T. in the standings.

Neither team shot the ball well from the field with Stealth shooting 33.9% from the field and the Grim Reapers shooting 36.1% from the field. It can also be said about their three point shooting, but Stealth did connect a slightly better percentage and made 6 more than the Grim Reapers. On the glass, the Grim Reapers dominated, but Stealth counteracted that with their good ball handling, turning it over 5 times compared to 13 times by the Grim Reapers.

Leading the way was Sadri who finished with 31, but don't forget about Anthony Guada who had a great all around game with 16 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. Deon King also chipped in with 11 of his own. Stealth now has hope at getting into the playoffs with this win and should look to win atleast 2 of the next 3 to secure a playoff seed. Next up for Stealth is the Wolverines, who they play this Sunday @ HoopDome.

This is a devestating loss for the Grim Reapers. For whatever reason, they just can't beat Stealth, both times losing my 1 possession margins. A bright spot for the Grim Reapers was the play of Brian Owusu who reached a personal best with 18 points and Jozef Hadlaw-Murray's 8 points and 18 rebounds. They now sink to 2nd spot, 1 game back of SWAT and will hope to put away the Blue Devils this Sunday @ HoopDome.

About MEGACITY Basketball

Established in Summer of 2009, MEGACITY Basketball was built upon a dream amongst a small group of friends in Toronto. In the short period of time since then, MEGACITY Basketball has grown into a large community of athletes, fans, sponsors and volunteers. From initially a small league of 4 teams, MEGACITY Basketball brings new excitement this season with a total of 54 teams involved.

The chance of an athlete becoming a professional athlete in any sport is said to be less than 0.05%, if not less. Needless to say, most of us will never get to experience what it feels like to be a pro. At Megacity Basketball we do our best to give you that experience both on and off the court minus the million dollar contract. Whether you are just learning the game, looking to play recreationally or competitively, we've got a division specifically designed for you. The ultimate on court experience means you play at the top facilities that the city you live in has to offer. All games are professionally managed and officiated. The ultimate off court experience means after your game is done, the experience isn't over. During the week, you'll see that our site is updated with articles, statistics, rankings, photos, video highlights, polls, blog entries and the list goes on.

I've played in various leagues across the GTA and the thing that stands out the most which sets Megacity Basketball above the rest is their uncompromised dedication to provide their players with the best experience possible.

- Matt Tom (Dynasty 2012)

If you play competitive basketball in or around the GTA and you have some sort of skill. Then why aren't you playing at Megacity Basketball?

- Milan Trklja (SmileWork Dental Centres 2012)

Being from a city so distant, making the trip every weekend down would be a hassle. But when you have such a welcoming environment for all basketball players and at such a competitive level, it's hard to say no.

- Ali Ludin (Shottas 2012)

Megacity is the best basketball league in the city because no where do they have a website like this. It makes this league feel more like a community than any other league I've been in. Couldn’t be happier with my experienc

- Chad Bewley (Sonics 2012)

I've been part of Megacity Basketball for 2 years running as a player and could not be any more impressed in terms of how the league is run as the staff is nothing short of professional.

- Chris Dela Cruz (Sonics 2012)

Megacity Basketball is no joke. These guys work hard to provide the best organized men's basketball league in the city and will leave everyone else in their dust.

- Aaron Duncan (SWAT 2012)

This is my first time joining a men’s league and I’ve got to say I was pretty impressed with Megacity. The staff’s effort made the league very organized and made you feel like you’re playing professionally.

- Idrees Karimzadeh (Nemesis 2012)

I've been a part of Megacity since the 2nd year and I have to say it's the best league i've ever played in by far. The organization is amazing, and the competition is great, and both have gotten better each year.

- Kerr Carmichael (Wolverines 2012)

There are a lot of great players in the league making for a high level of competition, and it was a pleasure to play each game. If you enjoy playing basketball and love to compete, Megacity is the league for you.

- Nigel Clarke (Lions 2012)

Megacity covers every aspect of the game, from game previews/recaps, to statistics, to photos and videos, to MVP awards and all-star games. Now that there's Megacity, I wouldn't even think about joining another league.

- Paul Golebiowski (FTI and Kings 2012)

The best basketball experience I've ever had. In this league, you feel like you're in the NBA. Megacity Basketball... BRING YOUR A-GAME

- Alvin Verzola (FTI & The Generals 2012)

MB is a league like no other. With their skilled statisticians, awsome and friendly videographers/photographers, experienced referees, and precise writers, Megacity allowed me to experience basketball on a whole other level.

- Dwayne Brown (Queensway Audi 2011)

No longer Toronto's best kept secret, the word is out.... Megacity Basketball is the best basketball league in the city hands down!

- Nathan Ho (FALCONS 2010)

I would recommend Megacity Basketball to anybody and everybody… Don't play anywhere else, this is the league where you want to play at. Once you're in here, you will never turn back!

- Afshin Sanebakhsh (KILLER BEES 2010)

What separates Megacity from other leagues can be summed up in one word, dedication. The effort provided by the organizers is everything a player can ask for. This is just the beginning for the momentum Megacity’s gaining.

- Derrick Marcelino (FALCONS 2010)

One of the most organized leagues I've been in. Uniforms were nice and games started on time. The website stats and profiles were great. Made you feel like you were playing in a semi-pro league. Nicely done.

- Joel Castro (G-MEN 2010)

First off, BEST LEAGUE OUT THERE! I've been part of Megacity Basketball since it first started. There is no other league that puts this much dedication to their players and staff. And it's just gonna get better...

- Byron Monleon (KILLER BEES 2010)

Megacity is a great league that is getting bigger by the season. #1 from website, stats, competition and overall experience. Keep up the good work and see you at the gym

- Eddie Cristobal (G-MEN 2010)

Clearly there is a passion for basketball with the people that run this league and they take pride in making this league as good as possible. This is the finest basketball league the city of Toronto has to offer...

- Kevin Byer (INFINITE 2010)

I've been part of Megacity since it started and it's only gotten better each time. Megacity is runned by dedicated staff who are constantly working to make it the best basketball experience for every player.

- Kenny Vitug (KILLER BEES 2010)

Detailed player statistics, box scores, recaps, game photos and video --these are not things you typically find in recreational leagues. Way to give us our money's worth. The most fun league I've played in thus far. Easy.

- Pierre LaFayette (VIPERS 2010)

Megacity puts in the work other leagues won't. No corners are cut and the experience of the player is important to the staff. It is scary to see how big this league will be.

- Jordan Pollard (KILLER BEES 2010)

I played in numerous men's leagues in the city for several years but Megacity is different. They're organized, fun and forward thinking. They know what they are doing and I look forward to many more seasons!

- Dominick Philippe (VIPERS 2010)

The time and effort the staff puts into this league is impressive. They pay attention to detail and put the players' experience as a priority. First thing I thought when I joined was that this league is legit.

- Patrick Santos (KILLER BEES 2010)

I just wanted to give this league props. This is the most organized league that I have played in. Y'all are doing a great job. Having the DJ during the game was icing on the cake.

- Jay Osuna (HOUSE CREW 2010)

This is by far the best Basketball League I have ever been to. If you are seeking for a higher level of challenge or dreaming of experience what's like to be an NBA player, here's the league you are looking for.
